There is one pony club in town, the Honey Hollow Pony Club in South Salem. Some local riders belong to the Goldens Bridge Hounds Pony Club in North Salem.

Pony clubs are excellent resources for children to learn about horses and horsemanship, including riding, care, and management skills. Riders take part in lessons, clinics, shows, and other activities. Children compete individually and on teams, where they learn good sportsmanship and how to be a team member.
