Dr. Kreutzer, who took over the superintendent job on July 1, received a five-year contract with a $245,000 salary, which, according to school oficials, is the median salary for superintendents in Westchester in 2011-12. Dr. Kreutzer, 40, set Wisconsin records by becoming that state’s youngest principal and superintendent at 25 and 29, respectively.

The assistant superintendent for business, Michael Jumper, had served as interim superintendent from March until June 30.
